Having undergone our internal induction and training programme covering key UK property legal skills; your role will include: -Negotiating; drafting and reviewing a broad range of non-contentious UK property contracts (from the UK legal perspective) including: Leases; Tenancy at Will; License to Assign; License for Alterations; License to Occupy; Rent Deposit Deed; Deed of Variation; Deed of surrender; Non-disclosure Agreement. - Title due diligence and reporting. - Co-ordination with relevant stakeholders within the Tesco Property and Legal teams to ensure that real estate matters are delivered in a timely and appropriately risk-balanced manner; meeting the business need. - Working collaboratively with our external law firms to share knowledge and best practice; and ensure the efficient delivery of real estate legal services to the business. - Managing and updating Tesco templates and playbooks. - Downloading Land Registry documents and making Land Registry applications. - Ensuring compliance with Tesco Business Code of Conduct; our Governance framework and other policies as applicable from time to time. -Represent Talent Acquisition in all forums/ seminars pertaining to process; compliance and audit -Perform other miscellaneous duties as required by management -Driving CI culture; implementing CI projects and innovation for withing the team

Cost Estimation: Prepare Feasibility cost estimate by working Closely with Business Owner; Property Project Manager (PPM); External Project Manager (EPM); & Main Contractor (MC) to ensure all scope of works are captured and costed.
Cost Control: Implementing effective cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle. This includes monitoring project budgets; tracking expenses; identifying cost-saving opportunities; and providing recommendations to ensure projects stay within budget.
Variation Management: Collaborating with Retail Planners; Suppliers; and UK colleagues in reviewing and assessing Contractor payment applications; managing variations and claims.
Risk Management: Manage risks associated with construction projects to minimize potential disruptions and financial losses.
Final Account Settlement: Assessing and agreeing on final project costs; negotiating final payments; resolving any outstanding contractual matters and assets capitalisation with Finance team.
Health and Safety Compliance: Collaborate with Project Managers to identify potential hazards; assess risks; and implement appropriate safety measures.

Bachelor’s Degree in civil engineering with minimum 2+ years of experience in Quantity Surveying preferred
