Contract Period: 1 January 2024 to 30 November 2024 (excluding June 2024)

Working Hours:

• Mondays to Fridays: 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (not inclusive of lunch break)
• The Authority reserves the right to vary the timing of the working hours when required.
• Service is not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays
• Candidate will be offered a 25-hour workweek.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Attend to operational and maintenance matters in Science Laboratories & Art Rooms;
• Operate simple life science equipment;
• Prepare and set up equipment and assist teachers in conducting experiment;
• Prepare materials for Art lessons;
• Maintains and updates data records including stocktaking of resources;
• Perform other general administrative duties e.g. filing and typing;
• Provide assistance in any other duties as assigned by the school and/or department.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Preferably a GCE ‘O’ Level qualification.
• At least 3 years experience working in similar capacity in a primary school environment.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office skills (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Powerpoint).

Main Responsibilities

• Research & Development for machine tool products and technologies (CNC Milling Machines and it’s Automation)
• New Product-Development as well as Design of Innovations for our existing Series Products.
• Development of Customized Machines for our customers.
• Collaboration with main company departments from Sales, Marketing, Product-Management, Production, Supply-Chain, Customer-Support and Controlling.
• Design of rigid and high-accuracy structural parts as well as lightweight-parts for fast, high-acceleration-applications in teamwork with Simulation- and Test-Engineers.
• Design of mechatronic-units with pneumatic, hydraulic, servo-electric and sensor components.
• Involvement in Concept-Design, Structural-Simulation, Detailing, Prototyping, Testing, Production, Customer-Support and Surveillance of machine-performance at our customers.
• Prototyping in dedicated R&D-Lab.
• Strong guidance by experienced senior-engineers along the career-path.
• Collaboration with extensive global network of Makino R&Ds, Sales-Regions and Key-Suppliers.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering from reputable University
• Strong interest in product-design for the production-environment as key-enabler for many innovative products.
• Creativity for innovative solutions as well as strong analytical skills
