Based in Singapore, The Company is primarily engaged in the marketing and distribution of petroleum and energy-related products and services. It operates in various sectors, including refining, supply, and trading of crude oil and petroleum products. The company plays a crucial role in the energy supply chain in the Asia-Pacific region, serving diverse industries and customers in the energy sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Authoring:
- Take on the role of creating Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for operational affiliates while adhering to relevant global regulations and company policies.
- Write APME SDS in line with the rollout schedule, collaborating closely with other APME SDS authors.
- Author and maintain Corporate and Local APME SDS for Lubricants using the UMDS process.
- Create local APME SDS for various Business Units, including special fluids, AFS, Bitumen, main products, and delegated specialties based on corporate author requests.
- Develop and maintain localized EU SDS versions.
- Ensure the availability of SDS documents on both the intranet and internet platforms.
- Synchronize GHS labels with SDS publication and republishing while tracking changes.
- Compose Workplace Information Sheets (WIS).
- Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for all Business Unit activities, including the number of published/republished SDS, SDS treatment delays, and incomplete SDS received.
- Address and track any anomalies related to SDS documents.
- Utilize SDS database software for SDS management.
- Exercise control over labeling as per Product Steward requests.
- Acquire local raw material SDS from COR suppliers and verify data consistency, legitimacy, and validity.
Data maintenance in the software:
- Foster close collaboration with Corporate MSDS authors and the SPHERA administrative team located in Paris.
- Oversee and upkeep product information and content, including phrases and regulatory components, within the software used for SDS creation.
- Execute any necessary modifications, as directed by management, to guarantee complete regulatory compliance and stay current with regulatory updates in the SDS database software.
Key Requirements:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or a related science/engineering field is a mandatory requirement.
- Ideally, candidates should possess some prior experience in SDS authoring or dealing with petroleum products.
- Fluent in English with proficiency in an additional Asian language being considered advantageous.
- Demonstrates a solid understanding of and familiarity with relevant chemical regulations in the Asia Pacific region.
- Exhibits strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a multicultural work environment
