ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, plan, and implement site environmental, health, and safety procedures/programs and ensure alignment with Global EHS policies, operation control procedures, goals, and objectives.
- Ensure site compliance with government and local EHS & Sustainability compliance regulations and handle all contact with appropriate agencies. Ensure required regulatory and internal performance metric reports are submitted accurately and within the established timeline.
- In the context of the EHS program, other responsibilities include regulatory interpretations, planning, auditing, and evaluation and implementation of information systems.
- Analyze loss control and accident reports and develop, implement, and maintain procedures to minimize losses or accidents.
- Ensure appropriate corrective action is taken where environmental, health, and safety hazards exist.
- Conduct the material handling and ergonomics assessment for employees and formulate solutions to ergonomics hazards.
- Review and approve the contractor permit to work via the e-PTW (Electronic Permit To Work) system.
- Review and control risk assessment and environmental aspects in the workplace with relevant stakeholders
- Coordinate site emergency response team and drill exercise as well as the medical emergency response plan
- Compliance with local law requirements on workplace industrial hygiene monitoring, air emission, water discharge, noise, hazardous wastes, etc.
- Submit accurate regulatory and performance metric reports as required.
- Interact with all levels of people to help develop or revise the organization’s documented procedures & WIs
