Job Summary:
As a Warehouse Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting in various warehouse operations to ensure efficient and timely handling of goods. Your duties will include receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping merchandise. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments and verify the accuracy of the items received.
- Sort, stack, and store merchandise in designated locations within the warehouse.
- Perform regular inventory counts and assist in reconciling discrepancies.
Pick and pack orders accurately according to packing slips or instructions.
- Prepare shipments for outbound transportation, including labeling and palletizing.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the warehouse, including sweeping, mopping, and removing debris.
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks as needed.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve departmental goals and targets.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager or supervisor.
Qualifications and Skills:
- SPM or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment preferred but not required.
- Basic math skills for inventory counting and order picking.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling merchandise.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency in operating warehouse equipment is a plus.
