About the Role

Assist in managing a team of Claims processors, checkers and assessors to process claims transactions within the required benchmarks and in line with the Company and department goals

Job Responsibilities: ​

• Effectively handles and supervises team members in line with company policies and procedures, including those who are achieving personal work objectives and those who are under performing.

• Lead employees to meet quality, turnaround time and efficiency benchmark.

• Assist in planning resources to support day to day business needs by forecasting volume and arranging overtime where required.

• Involved in staff recruitment, coaching, training including new employee onboarding and providing career development planning.

• Create a work culture that is consistent with the Company’s mission and purpose with emphasis on AIA’s Operating Philosophy.

• Regularly communicate organization information through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, emails, and interpersonal communication.

Job Requirements:

• Open experienced Senior Medical Claims Assessor, experience in leading team would be added advantage.

• A recognized tertiary Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Biotechnology, and Medical Science, Social Science, Business Management or equivalent qualifications.

• Fluent in spoken English & Chinese. Candidate with proficiency to converse in Mandarin / Cantonese would be an added advantage. Passing SPM Chinese subject is a MUST.

• Self-motivated and customer orientated.

• Time management skills.

• Computer literate in Microsoft Office.

• Good commitment at work, good attitude, willing to learn.

• Able to adapt desk-bound working environment, working shift including weekend on rotation basis & able to work overtime beyond normal office hour (including weekend & public holiday).

• The role is required to follow Hong Kong working calendar.

• Process all Inpatient, Outpatient claims and pre-approval requests received as per stipulated requirements

• Perform outbound call to customers when required     
• Training of new joiners on claims processing rules and products knowledge including Review and Feedback for On-The-Job training cases
• Providing training in System Navigation and Processing Steps, towards certification with Claims Approval Authority, as stipulated in the Claims Approval Authority guidelines.             
• Conduct regular claims review in claims performance to ensure claims principles/authorities are adhered to. Review claims decision making process to identify areas of claims risk management concerns for further improvements.

About the Role

Responsible to conduct thorough review of the customer and claims, obtaining evidence, producing report on findings as per stipulated requirements and benchmark

Assess customer profiles, policy details and claim history (all policies).

Review claim patterns/trends nature of injuries, treating doctors, clinic address and residential/workplace.

Conduct interviews with the servicing agent, medical doctors and claimant.

Verify claim document, analyze signs of potential forged documents and clarification with hospital.

Gather all information and prepare preliminary investigation report to Fraud Team (SG).

Provide training session to claims assessors on fraud detection and best practices.

Ensure that targets in line with KPI goals.

Performs other tasks periodically assigned by supervisor to meet operational and/or other requirements.

Role summary:

As part of the ongoing growth of Experian’s Global Finance Services (GFS) organization, an experienced, motivated and proactive General Ledger Analyst is needed to provide the accounting acumen and reporting required by Experian’s Group Financial Reporting function. This challenging role will be based in Experian’s Global Delivery Centre in Cyberjaya, Malaysia and be part of the Record to Report team (R2R), a key and growing part of the GFS team.

 

Work that matters - What you’ll be doing:

• Support GL journal related task including preparation of journal entries, ensure journals to be booked in accordance to company policies, collaborate with stakeholders (Finance Controller, Business Finance and FP&A team) in understanding journal submission and supporting evidence.
• Ensure all revenue and cost recognition/deferred journals posting according to IFRS15 accounting standard with supporting evidence as required.
• Support HFM related task including error validation, half year/year end disclosure as per Global timeline, etc
• Analyze and rectify issues or enquiries pertaining to GL transactions within the entities supported.
• Act as escalation point for any issues involving month end, quarter, year-end close. Monitor and manage issues, escalations and/or exceptional handling requests.
• Stakeholder management includes collaboration with all parties (including Finance Controller, Business Finance, other GFS team, system experts, Group Finance, etc) in handling daily/ ad hoc matters relating to entities supported.
• Preparation & submission of monthly balance sheet reconciliation files e.g. Prepayment, Other Debtors, Accruals, VAT, Accrued/Deferred Revenue, etc, monitoring/clearing aged reconciling items in a timely manner & attend balance sheet review calls with stakeholders.
• Understand and ensure compliance with Experian policies and be the first line of defense/ Gatekeeper of the books.
• Provide support to internal & external Audit process and in accordance to accounting standard. Ensure compliance with all requirements encompassing data integrity and evidence of process and accuracy.
• Perform other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by line manager to meet financial reporting requirements and/or other projects.
• Continuously drive for improvement & streamline processes within General Ledger function.
• Respond/ handle ad-hoc requests/ divestments/ acquisitions in a timely and professional manner.

• Process all Life / Accident and Health (A&H) / Major Claims / Corporate Solutions (CS)/ Pre Approval (PA) claims requests received as per stipulated requirements.
• Evaluate and collect all data for claim processes, prepare medical questionnaire and to review all status and ensure efficient adjustment in claim system.
• Ensure meeting individual quality, turnaround time and efficiency benchmark.
• Performs other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by immediate manager in order to meet business requirements.
• Prepares regular reporting to management on metrics relating to business, operations, risk, compliance, workforce, etc. or statutory authorities on regulatory metrics.
• Develop procedures for reporting, extract, collate and populate data to reporting template.
• Validate data accuracy and liaise with relevant parties to resolve data quality.
• Forward thinker in ensuring all required task and activities are recorded in relevant system accurately and promptly.

• Open to Fresh Graduate, experienced Medical Claims Assessor, experienced from Lab / Nursing / MBBS.
