My Client is a leading stable firm in Singapore.
Role Overview:
The Software Test Manager will oversee testing activities across all projects, taking charge of managing, developing, and delivering testing capabilities across various platforms. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing test cases based on technical specifications and project deliverables, crafting project test strategies, managing testing activities, and ensuring quality assurance throughout the software development life cycle. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
The incumbent will be responsible for:
- Defining, executing, and monitoring the overall project test strategy, tracking test progress, and evaluating results.
- Ensuring alignment with existing organizational processes and project management frameworks.
- Creating and maintaining test specifications and scripts, reviewing test results, executing test cases, and managing testing activities.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for all test-related matters.
- Managing defect resolution and ensuring proper closure of detected defects.
- Providing regular updates to the reporting manager on assignment status and relevant matters.
- Implementing and enforcing new processes and procedures, emphasizing testing simplification through automation and innovation.
- Adhering to relevant policies and procedures to minimize project and operational risks.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support project objectives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in computer science or related field.
- Solid understanding of testing methodology and experience in SDLC project implementation.
- Minimum 10 years of testing experience, preferably in banking or financial services.
- Proficiency in project management, functional and non-functional testing, and defect management.
- Excellent communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Positive attitude, good team player, and self-motivated individual capable of independent work and teamwork.
