Job Description: Senior Dev Manager role wherein manages and mentors a team of Programmer/Analysts/BA’s and participates in product development and people management. Controls decisions of a broad functional area of middle office serves as a project leader/ subject matter expert and provides input into strategic direction.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Plan and manage application development and client delivery activities for an assigned application portfolio that may include small and simple software applications, moderately complex software applications or components of large and complex software applications. Communicates effectively with clients and various stakeholders following the SDLC process.
15+ Years of hands-on experience with Core Java, Spring, XML & Restful Web Services
15+ years of Database experience on Oracle
15+ years of Operating System experience on Linux / Unix.
Experienced in Agile application development methodologies with Scrum
Knowledge of industry coding standards and best practices for coding/development
Experienced in object orientated design and Test-driven development.
Hands-on experience in Java Design patterns
Good to know JavaScript UI frameworks.
Good to have experience working in FinTech
Good experience in project management, organization, communications, analytical and people skills
Good experience in leading, supervising and managing effectively under pressure
Ability to manage multiple projects, activities and problem areas and lead, direct and manage effectively
Designs and develops software product applications for market sale or large-scale proprietary software applications for internal use.
Manages full software development lifecycle including testing, implementation, and auditing.
Performs product design, bug verification and beta support which may require research and analysis.
Resolves critical issues and contributes to the business unit/area development.
Manages work efforts of managers/supervisors with responsibility for hiring, firing, performance appraisals and pay reviews.
Identifies and allocates technical resources, e.g., developers, business analysts to client projects within Development.
Forecasts resource needs based on an analysis of both portfolio and projected client spend.
Maximizes both utilization and profitability of assigned team of resources billable time.
Ensures base applications meet appropriate quality standards.
Adheres to the departmental application development and client delivery process standards.
Provides input on product direction to product managers/product owners and work according to defined product roadmap.
Coordinates with industry compliance consultants and product managers to verify applications meet regulatory compliance.
