We are looking for a Network Product Owner to join our community of tech experts in DWP Digital.

What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?
- Demonstrate a high level of experience of effectively communicating at different levels across a range of stakeholders and colleagues, using a variety of methods including digital, written and verbal.
- Experience of service and delivery reporting and the production and presentation of management information, reports and dashboards.
- Demonstrate a high level of experience of interpreting complex and/or technical information. Provide explanations to colleagues, stakeholders and customers to simplify and ensure understanding and by using sound judgement recommend considered approaches to challenge and improve processes and performance.
- Demonstrate a level of experience in IT Service/Product Management, developing standard/repeatable services and by understanding business/technical priorities and risks deliver excellent customer service which also balances quality and cost effectiveness through a sound understanding of commercial and financial management.
- Demonstrate experience of supporting and mentoring the development of team members to successfully deliver high quality outcomes that meet the customers' needs and provide value for money.
You and your role
In collaboration with a range of internal/external partners, stakeholders and customer you will be responsible for ensuring best practices are adhered to across the department and supporting teams on how to deliver quality, modern Infrastructure solutions, ensuring the operational stability, availability and quality of DWP Networks.
Working to the Senior Product Owner you will be an intrinsic part of the Management team working with other Network Services Product Owners as well as the engineering leads, principal Network engineers and suppliers.
Along with the essential experience above it would also be desirable, but not essential to have the following skills or experience:
- A working understanding of Network infrastructures and technologies.
- Experience of Delivery / Project Management.
- Working knowledge of IT Service Management tools and dashboards e.g. - Service Now, Splunk, Dynatrace.
- ITIL Qualification or equivalent.

Location: You'll join us in one of our brilliant digital hubs in Blackpool, Manchester or Newcastle whichever is most convenient for you.
Hybrid Working: We work a hybrid model - you'll spend some time working at home and some time collaborating face to face in a hub.
Pay: We offer competitive pay of up to £43,347.
Pension: You'll get a brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions worth 28.97%, worth over £11,000 per year.
Holidays: A generous leave package starting at 26 days rising to 31 days over time.
You can also take up to 3 extra days off a month on flexi-time. You'll also get all the usual public holidays.
