We have an exciting opportunity for a talented sales professional to join our team selling catering services to Healthcare clients across the UK. In this role, you will be responsible for seeking new tendering opportunities and work closely with our Operations, Marketing, Finance and Legal teams to ensure these tenders convert into secured contracts to sustain the growth of our business.
This role is home-based with office equipment provided, therefore the ideal candidate can be based anywhere in the UK. A full UK driving licence is essential for this position.
What you'll be doing... In this role, you will be responsible for developing a pipeline of new business opportunities and converting into new contracts to achieve your sales target for the year.
As a Business Development Manager, you will:
- Build and maintain client relationships, showcasing Elior UK's strengths
- Network and research tenders, collaborating with finance and operations teams for timely responses
- Lead the sales process from first meetings to closing deals
- Support contract mobilization, ensuring client satisfaction at every stage
- Assist in key contract retention, coordinating bids and presentations
- Manage your weekly activities to build a business pipeline and achieve sales targets
- Leverage commercial acumen to create and present successful tenders
- Confidently present Elior's key USPs to maximize client wins
- Submit weekly reports to track progress and ensure financial goals are met

What can you bring? We are looking for a Business Development Manager with:
- Strong understanding of contract catering and trends in Hospitals, Care, Extra Care, and Retirement Living
- Ability to collaborate with Operations, Finance, and support teams to write winning bids
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and listening skills
- Creative thinking and strong writing for compelling solutions
- Experience managing multiple tenders and meeting deadlines
- Proven success in securing contracts in food service and healthcare
- Strong presentation, coaching, and sales skills
- Commercial acumen with closing ability
- Proven relationship-building expertise
- Solid IT skills and experience in the tendering process.

We are offering a salary of up to £62,000 DOE plus commission & a company car or cash allowance depending on mileage.
