Job Description:

As a Software Engineer at  Ezi Motartech Sdn Bhd, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining web applications that are scalable, secure, and high-performing. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet our business and client needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications using PHP and the Laravel framework.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to implement new features and improve existing ones.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to ensure code quality.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs for internal and external use.
• Ensure the security and scalability of web applications.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in software development.
• Work in an agile environment, participating in daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

Qualifications:

• Strong proficiency in PHP with a focus on backend development.
• Extensive experience with the Laravel framework (minimum [Specify Years, e.g., 2 years]).
• Proficiency in relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and ORM (Eloquent).
• Experience with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Vue.js, or React is a plus).
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git).
• Understanding of modern development practices, including TDD, BDD, and CI/CD.
• Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure) is an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Product Engineering or Program Management 
• Lead internal team for NPI and Sustaining Products activities such as new product qualification, product continuous improvement to meet product requirements.
• High collaboration work across different functions / departments
• Equip and interest data analysis skills to analyze and correlate processes vs products parameters

• Design and align with other technical leaders to create system concepts and architectures, which represent the solutions based on system requirements and include the evaluation of design alternatives.
• Refine the system requirements and break down the system requirements to the sub-domains in collaboration with HW, SW, Safety, Security and Validation experts.
• Document and communicate decision according to system designs and architecture to the responsible engineers and follow up the status of implementation.
• Guide and drive the implementation of solutions both within and beyond the scope of your team.
• Work closely with mechanical, electronics and software team to ensure design solutions able to meet the product specifications.
• Work in an international environment and in close collaboration with our internal and external stakeholders.
• Plan, coordinate and test hardware prototypes.
• Develop product test plan together with design team and quality engineers.
• Guide test engineers / participate in new product testing and validation.
• Provide status reporting of the tasks according to project plan.
• Responsible to drive integration of product/system with manufacturing system/process at Penang Power Pools plant.
• Ensure product meet certification requirements.
