Job Purpose
The Restaurant Manager at Jugnu Indian Restaurant will oversee day-to-day operations to ensure exceptional service, efficient management, and a positive dining experience for guests. This role requires an individual with a deep understanding of hospitality management, particularly in Indian cuisine, as well as strong organizational and leadership abilities. The Restaurant Manager will work to uphold Jugnu Indian Restaurant's standards of quality, service, and cultural authenticity.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
Oversee daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures.
Ensure smooth coordination of front-of-house and kitchen operations.
Monitor inventory, order supplies, and manage stock levels to avoid shortages.
Manage supplier relationships and oversee timely restocking of essential items.
Staff Management and Development
Recruit, train, and supervise restaurant staff, including servers, kitchen staff, and host staff.
Schedule shifts, monitor employee performance, and provide ongoing training to ensure high standards of service.
Address staff concerns, maintain morale, and encourage a positive team environment.
Customer Service and Satisfaction
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing guest needs promptly and professionally.
Handle customer feedback, complaints, and special requests to enhance guest experience.
Maintain the restaurant’s ambiance, cleanliness, and decor in line with Jugnu's brand.
Financial and Budget Management
Manage the restaurant's budget, including labor costs, inventory costs, and other operational expenses.
Analyze monthly financial reports to track revenue, costs, and profitability.
Implement cost control measures to optimize operational efficiency.
Health, Safety, and Compliance
Ensure compliance with food safety and health regulations.
Conduct regular safety checks, including food storage, kitchen hygiene, and emergency procedures.
Maintain necessary records and certifications as required by local regulations.
Marketing and Promotions
Collaborate with the owner/marketing team to promote Jugnu Indian Restaurant’s offerings.
Plan and execute promotional events, special menu items, and seasonal offers.
Maintain Jugnu's online presence and reputation by encouraging and monitoring customer reviews.
Requirements:

At least a Diploma in Hospitality, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 2-3 years in a similar role, preferably in an Indian or multicultural restaurant.
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills; proficiency in point-of-sale systems and basic financial management tools.
Proven track record in delivering exceptional customer service.
In-depth knowledge of Indian cuisine and restaurant management principles.
Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work under pressure
Adaptability and creativity in promoting and enhancing the restaurant's reputation
