Job Purpose:
The role will be responsible to ensure the delivery of exceptional operational and commercial standards throughout stores in the area assigned. To ensure compliance in all areas of operational activity and drive sales and profitability through the performance and development of Store Managers, whilst managing within agreed budgets.
Principal Accountabilities
Operational Management:
- Proactively contribute to the formulation and direction of the hospitality strategy.
- Implement projects and trials for the area.
- Manage payroll budgets in line with area sales performance.
- Achieve stock control targets and prevent financial loss.
- Liaise with procurement and logistic teams for stock supply optimization.
- Identify underperforming outlets and develop business plans to address issues.
Customer Service and Sales:
- Support customer service activities to optimize sales performance and customer satisfaction.
- Communicate business and area objectives to outlet managers.
- Support the delivery of marketing campaigns.
- Encourage restaurant managers to seek knowledge of competitor activity and local market conditions.
Compliance and Standards:
- Ensure outlets adhere to compliance requirements, company policies, and procedures.
- Ensure restaurant presentation (cleanliness, maintenance, service) reflects brand image.
- Provide constructive feedback on standard operational procedures.
Staff Management and Development:
- Recruit and implement induction programs for new managers.
- Manage performance and development of restaurant managers.
- Plan for succession in the area and identify individuals for development and growth.
- Create a positive environment for stable retention and reduced turnover.
Financial Management:
- Effectively manage the P&L within allocated budget for profitable performance.
- Monitor ongoing performance needs and KPI objectives within the area.
- To achieve area COGS targets as directed by Company.
- To minimize stock loss targets as directed by the Company.
- To achieve budget targets in line with Area sales performance.[DB1]
Communication and Networking:
- Develop an effective network of communication across the area.
- Collaborate with GM/CEO on branch acquisition, relocation, and disposal opportunities.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations in operational activities.
OTHERS
- Any other responsibilities that assigned by superior.
Skills & Specifications:
- Ability to manage and develop a positive and productive operation team
- Good communication
- Demonstrable and strong business acumen
- Highly organised with the ability to adapt quickly to strategic change.
Requirements:
- Possess at least a Diploma in Food & Beverage Services Management/Business Administration qualification or equivalent.
- At least 3 to 5 years of working experience in the same capacity.
- Experience in developing team members to realize their full potential.
- Experience in setting up new outlet will be an advantage.
- Good business acumen and excellent communication skills.
- Proficient in both spoken and written English and Mandarin is a must, ability to communicate in and Bahasa Malaysia is preferred.
