We are looking for a Finance Business Partner to lead the Capital Accounting team for our Basingstoke based client. As Finance Business Partner, you'll oversee the accurate and timely processing of capital accounting transactions and compliance with policy standards. You’ll manage a small team of finance assistants and work directly with stakeholders to strengthen financial understanding and drive efficiencies across the department. This position offers a unique chance to impact the organisation’s financial control environment and influence new site developments.
What will the Finance Business Partner role involve?
• Partner with key stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of balance sheet positions and actions.
• Maintain and improve financial systems, ensuring adherence to internal controls and best practices.
• Lead, mentor, and develop finance assistants, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Manage global fixed asset registers, ensure IFRS16 compliance, and prepare reports to support audited financial statements.
• Champion new processes and innovations within the Capital Accounting team.
Suitable Candidate for the Finance Business Partner vacancy:
• ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification with 3+ years’ experience, ideally in a shared services setting.
• Skilled in project accounting and understanding tax impacts on fixed assets.
• Proven track record in identifying and implementing process efficiencies.
• Strong communication skills and ability to effectively challenge and engage senior stakeholders.
• Experience in team management with a strategic, detail-oriented approach to achieving department goals.
