Job Purpose
You are required to assist and support daily operations of the New Business Underwriting Support team.
The Job
· Working effectively with team members and parties from various internal departments, ensuring the service standards including TRTs and level of accuracy of the daily transactions processed are met
· Process daily incoming transactions related to New Business Underwriting Support
· Attend emails from intermediaries, external and internal customers, on enquiries and outstanding requirements/ actions related to policy issuance
· Support the daily operations of the admin team on processing of daily incoming applications and emails received from intermediaries, external and internal customers
· Coordinate and collaborate with intermediaries and internal stakeholders to ensure daily work issues are resolved to provide appropriate and timely services to customers
· Identify process gaps and manage process improvement within the New Business administration team
· Manage changes and enforce governance through providing overall guidance to staff on business deliverables; including managing staff resources, managing internal work-streams interdependencies
· Take accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and take appropriate steps to mitigate the risks
· Maintain awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company
· Highlight any potential concerns/ risks and proactively share best risk management practices
Our Requirements
· Degree holder and above in related discipline (Banking/ Finance/ Business/ Accounting) with relevant insurance certifications preferred
· Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in the insurance industry or in an administrative capacity with an eye for details and meticulous
· Good interpersonal skills and communication skills – proficient in oral and written
· Computer literacy with good working knowledge of MS Office (eg Excel, Word) applications
· Problem solving, customer service orientated
· High level of integrity, take accountability of work and good attitude over teamwork
· Take initiative to improve current state of things and adaptable to embrace new changes
