Job Description
In addition to the job description of an AA, AE’s functions and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Financial Reporting:
• Assist in the preparation of management reports and financial analysis.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
2. Accounts Payable and Receivable:
• Oversee the processing of invoices, payments, and receipts.
• Manage the accounts payable/receivable ledger.
• Reconcile supplier and customer statements and resolve discrepancies.
3. General Ledger Management:
• Maintain and update the general ledger.
• Post journal entries and perform month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Reconcile bank statements and perform account reconciliations.
4. Budgeting and Forecasting:
• Help with the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Provide support for financial planning and analysis activities.
5. Other Duties:
• Provide financial advice and support to other departments.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Finance Manager.
Capability
AE is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information. This position requires a highly skilled and experienced individual who can manage multiple accounting functions, support financial planning, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. The AE must work closely with the Finance Manager.
Prerequisite
1. Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. Minimum 3 years of similar or relevant field working experience
Competencies
1. Proficiency in Accounting software, MS Office.
2. Knowledge of E-invoice.
3. Competencies of AA
4. Knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards and tax regulations.
5. Ability to work as a team and execute instructions given accurately.
