Google Cloud Platform Data Engineer
Location: Hartford, CT
Responsibilities
- Design and implement data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform to support data processing and analytics
- Optimize and monitor data pipelines for performance and reliability
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand their data requirements and provide technical solutions
- Work with cross-functional teams to integrate data from different sources and systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data processing and pipeline failures
- Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and best practices in data engineering on Google Cloud Platform
Requirements
Required Skills:
- Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) services, such as BigQuery, Dataflow, and Pub/Sub
- Proven track record of designing and implementing data pipelines in a cloud environment
- Strong understanding of data warehousing and ETL processes
- Proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation and analysis
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Preferred Skills:
- Certification in Google Cloud Platform
- Experience with Apache Beam for data processing
- Knowledge of data governance and security best practices
- Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
