About the Company
We are seeking an experienced AWS Monitoring & DevOps Engineer to support enterprise monitoring platforms and AWS-based production environments. This role will focus on improving system reliability, monitoring, alerting, automation, and operational visibility across enterprise applications and cloud infrastructure.
About the Role
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with AWS, Datadog, infrastructure automation, and production support in large-scale enterprise environments. This position requires close collaboration with DevOps, development, and operations teams to maintain stable and high-performing systems.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain enterprise monitoring platforms including Datadog and BigPanda
- Support and maintain AWS-based production systems and infrastructure
- Improve monitoring, alerting, logging, and operational visibility across environments
- Monitor application availability, latency, system health, and overall performance
- Build dashboards and reporting for performance, stability, and cloud cost optimization
- Develop automation scripts and infrastructure solutions within AWS environments
- Support production incidents, outages, troubleshooting, and escalations
- Collaborate with DevOps, engineering, and operations teams on system improvements
- Maintain infrastructure reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency
- Mentor junior engineers and share operational best practices with the team
Qualifications
- 10+ years of overall IT experience
- 4+ years of hands-on AWS production support experience
- Strong experience with Datadog monitoring and logging platforms
- Experience with BigPanda or similar event management tools
- Strong knowledge of AWS services including EC2, S3, DynamoDB, Cognito, and CloudFormation
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and source control tools such as Git or SVN
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience using Ansible or similar configuration management tools
- Strong scripting experience with JavaScript or TypeScript
- Excellent troubleshooting skills across infrastructure, applications, and networks
- AWS SysOps Certification preferred
- Experience supporting Windows Server and IIS environments
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
