About The Role
We are seeking a talented Python Software Systems Engineer to join our dynamic and fully remote team. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing, deploying, and maintaining our platform to enhance its speed, security, and reliability. Your contributions will help us deliver new features and streamline our deployment processes, ultimately shaping the future of how we bring our products to market. You will work closely with a small team of developers and operators, exploring innovative solutions, implementing best practices, and ensuring our systems operate smoothly and efficiently. Qualifications
- Ability to work independently with excellent communication skills
- Proven experience in developing robust, testable, and industry-standard code
- Strong programming skills in Python or other high-level programming languages
- Proficiency in system scripting using Python, Bash, or similar tools
- Experience with configuring and administering production services
- Knowledge of developing and maintaining staging, testing, and development environments
- Familiarity with software lifecycle automation, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery systems
- Experience participating in on-call rotations and diagnosing system failures
- Understanding of DevOps or Agile methodologies
- Self-motivated, disciplined, and capable of working effectively in a fully distributed team
Responsibilities
- Contribute to code quality through unit testing, integration testing, code reviews, and system design using Python
- Configure, deploy, and maintain production services, ensuring high availability and security
- Develop and maintain staging, testing, and developer environments to support reliable development workflows
- Automate software lifecycle processes to facilitate Continuous Integration and Delivery of tested code
- Participate in on-call rotations, providing timely diagnosis and resolution of system issues
- Assist in developing procedures for system updates and upgrades without service disruption
- Collaborate with team members to explore innovative solutions for system improvements and problem-solving
- Document system configurations, procedures, and best practices for team reference
