About The Role

We are seeking a talented Embedded Software Engineer to join our Software Engineering Directorate (SWE) Effectors Center in Tucson, AZ. This onsite role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to mission-critical projects that support national defense initiatives. As part of our team, you will be involved in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, and integration of real-time embedded systems. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative solutions that enhance our capabilities in real-time systems, machine learning, cybersecurity, and DevOps. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about solving challenging problems, eager to develop next-generation technologies, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of quality and security. Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of two years of relevant experience.
• Experience with C++, C, or other object-oriented programming languages.
• Experience with hardware-software integration and embedded system testing.
• Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date, with the ability to obtain program-specific access after employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist and participate in the requirements, design, development, and testing of real-time embedded software, application software, and tools, including developing new work products or enhancing existing applications and systems.
• Design, code, test, integrate, and document software solutions aligned with project specifications.
• Conduct internal reviews of software components and systems to ensure quality and compliance.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to meet project objectives and schedules.
• Work on problems with defined scope, schedule, and expectations, adhering to established development practices and processes.
• Maintain configuration management of software products to ensure version control and traceability.
• Obtain necessary program access and security clearances to perform assigned duties effectively.
