The Role
- Drive internal Backend architecture standards and expertise.
- Enhance software quality by modernising legacy systems.
- Ensure reliability and performance, identifying and resolving bugs to improve user experience.
- Mentor junior engineers, sharing best practices and leading by example.
- Collaborate closely with product and design teams to ensure successful execution of requirements.
- Communicate clearly and concisely across multiple time zones in a remote setting.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Minimum of 5 years, ideally 7-10+ years, of Java development and backend engineering experience.
- Expertise in Java and proficiency in at least one additional backend and frontend language.
- Proven experience in improving legacy codebases and implementing automated testing.
- Strong knowledge of microservices architecture.
- Experience with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.
