Data Processing Specialist at Residence Inn by Marriott Chesapeake Greenbrier

Location: Remote - United States

Job Type: Full Time

Salary: $42,000-$52,000 per year

Role Overview

Residence Inn by Marriott Chesapeake Greenbrier is seeking a Data Processing Specialist for a remote role centered on structured document, information, and transaction processing with careful record control. You will work through defined processes, document what you complete, and raise questions when information is incomplete or inconsistent.

Your work should be easy to audit and understand after the fact. That means using consistent naming, complete notes, and documented procedures rather than relying on memory or informal assumptions.

Quality matters as much as speed. The goal is not simply to move work through a queue, but to complete it accurately, preserve a traceable record, and reduce avoidable rework for the people who rely on the result.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Escalate incomplete, duplicate, or conflicting submissions for appropriate review.
  • Maintain accurate records of completed work and unresolved exceptions.
  • Protect confidential information while handling business and customer records.
  • Support process improvements by identifying recurring errors or avoidable handoff problems.
  • Check required fields, attachments, and supporting information before marking work complete.
  • Update processing logs so current status and outstanding items remain visible.

Candidate Profile

  • Organized approach to high-volume processing and document control.
  • Comfort working with digital files, spreadsheets, and structured workflow systems.
  • Reliable written communication in a remote team environment.
  • Ability to prioritize time-sensitive work while maintaining accuracy.
  • Basic proficiency with common office and collaboration tools.

The role offers a practical opportunity to build experience with remote workflows, structured business processes, and professional documentation.
