The Role
- Be the internal Backend architecture expert, driving standards
- Improve the quality of internal software by reshaping legacy areas
- Own reliability and performance by identifying bugs & issues and improving the company UX
- Mentor junior engineers, leading by example and sharing best practice
- Collaborate with product & design teams to ensure requirements are clear and executed successfully
- Be a clear and concise communicator, essential for a remote position across multiple time zones
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5-10+ years Java development & backend engineering experience
- Expertise in Java and experience with at least one additional backend and frontend language
- Experience improving legacy codebases
- Microservices architecture knowledge and expertise
- Experience with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes & AWS
