About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Software Engineer (Tech Lead) to join our team remotely in the United States. This role requires a seasoned professional with deep expertise across both frontend and backend development, primarily focusing on leading the architecture and development of a complex logistics application tailored for military and government users. As the Tech Lead, you will own the end-to-end systems architecture, including designing scalable data ingest pipelines that operate across edge and cloud environments. Your responsibilities will include mentoring engineering teams, making critical technical decisions, and ensuring the delivery of secure, reliable, and high-performance software solutions. You will collaborate closely with product owners, designers, and other stakeholders to rapidly iterate on features, improve system performance, and uphold security standards aligned with government compliance such as FedRAMP and IL5. This role combines hands-on coding with strategic leadership, requiring a proactive approach to system design, team mentorship, and cross-functional collaboration to build a platform that meets the demanding needs of military and government operations.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of relevant software engineering experience, including leadership or mentorship roles
- Proven experience owning and designing systems architecture for distributed, scalable systems
- Hands-on experience with distributed system components such as Redis, RabbitMQ, and custom service development
- Experience leading AI-enabled development teams, including ownership of validation, safety, and reliability systems
- Full stack proficiency with strong frontend skills in React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Backend expertise in C# / .NET, Entity Framework, relational databases, and SQL optimization
- Knowledge of dependency injection, async/await, LINQ, and asynchronous messaging patterns
- Experience with automated testing tools and practices across the stack, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing
- Ability to translate product and design requirements into well-scoped engineering tasks
- Familiarity with secure software development practices, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation
- Active US citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance (Secret or TS preferred)
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end systems architecture for a scalable, resilient data ingest pipeline spanning edge and cloud environments using Redis, RabbitMQ, and custom services
- Lead and mentor a team of frontend and backend engineers, establishing best practices, conducting code reviews, and guiding technical decisions
- Design and implement full-stack system components, including distributed data flows, message queuing, API architecture, and user interface structures
- Manage AI-enabled development processes, ensuring safety, validation, and reliability of AI-assisted outputs through guardrails and testing systems
- Break down complex product and design requirements into clear, manageable engineering tasks and assign responsibilities effectively
- Develop intuitive, responsive front-end experiences with React, translating requirements into reusable UI components
- Build secure, maintainable back-end services using C# / .NET, focusing on REST APIs, data access layers, and modular design
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, design, DevSecOps, and field operations to deliver features rapidly and securely
- Champion automated testing and enforce code quality standards through rigorous testing practices
- Address bugs, optimize system performance, and contribute to compliance efforts such as FedRAMP and IL5 deployment requirements
