About The Role

VLink is seeking an experienced Backend Developer with expertise in Python and FastAPI to join our dynamic team on a contract basis for a duration of 6 to 12 months. This role is primarily focused on supporting and enhancing scalable backend services and APIs that are critical to our clients’ digital infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining existing applications, troubleshooting production issues, implementing performance improvements, and developing small feature enhancements. The role offers the flexibility of remote work within the US and provides an opportunity to work on impactful projects that leverage cloud technologies, primarily Microsoft Azure. Familiarity with front-end frameworks like Angular or JavaScript is a plus, as it enables seamless collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or have equivalent professional experience. A minimum of 4 years of hands-on software development experience, with a strong focus on Python, is essential. Candidates must have proven experience in building RESTful APIs and backend services using frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django. A solid understanding of API design principles, including authentication, authorization, and data validation, is required. Experience working with relational databases (such as SQL Server, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (like MongoDB) is preferred. Familiarity with version control systems like Git, along with experience in automated testing, debugging, and performance tuning, is also important. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are vital for success in this role.
