About The Role
We are seeking a skilled JavaScript Developer to join our dynamic team remotely. This role is pivotal in maintaining and enhancing our terminal management applications used in shipping container logistics. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fixing bugs, implementing enhancements, and ensuring the seamless operation of our AWS serverless environment. Working within a fast-paced, innovative setting, the developer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand existing codebases, troubleshoot issues, and develop scalable solutions. The position offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex, mission-critical applications leveraging cloud technologies and modern development practices. The role requires a proactive individual with a strong understanding of full lifecycle development, capable of handling both maintenance and new feature development in an agile environment.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a solid background in JavaScript development, with hands-on experience working within AWS serverless architectures. Proficiency in writing and deploying AWS Lambda functions, utilizing DynamoDB, API Gateway, and Cognito is essential. Candidates should have a comprehensive understanding of web application development, including experience with JavaScript frameworks, HTML, XML, and relational databases such as Oracle and SQL Server. Familiarity with build tools like Maven, Nexus, and version control systems such as CVS or equivalent is preferred. Experience with full software development lifecycle methodologies, including documentation, testing, and deployment, is required. Exposure to RUP, UML, or similar methodologies will be advantageous. Additional skills in optical character recognition software, cloud monitoring tools like CloudWatch, and scripting in Groovy or Java further strengthen a candidate’s profile. A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is typically expected, along with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
