Pros: The biggest perk is definitely the work flexibility. Being able to work remotely and set my own hours (within reason) makes a huge difference for work-life balance. The engineering team is a great bunch, very supportive and collaborative. We often pair program and help each other out. There are opportunities to learn new technologies, especially if you're proactive about it and take initiative on projects.
Cons: While flexibility is great, sometimes communication can feel a bit scattered, especially when crossing between different departments or projects. During crunch times for deadlines, the workload can become quite heavy, blurring the lines of that great work-life balance. Career progression feels a bit slow; there isn't always a clear path for advancement, and it can feel like you need to really push to be recognized for promotions or take on more responsibility.
Advice to Management: Consider establishing clearer career progression frameworks and offer more structured mentorship programs to help employees advance. Also, improving cross-departmental communication could streamline projects and reduce stress during peak periods.
