Our group aims to exploit the potential of quantum computing in clinically-relevant fields such as imaging, image analysis and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to increase diagnostic accuracy and to support precision medicine throughout the following pillar objectives:
1. Native Quantum Computing: To propose novel image reconstruction and analysis approaches in clinically-relevant fields utilizing quantum computing approaches and noisy intermediate scale quantum (NISQ) computers.
2. Classic-to-Quantum Transitioning: To consolidate and transition existing classical computing methodologies to the quantum computing domain in order to make them adoptable in small-qubit NISQs.
3. Clinical Adoption: To investigate novel quantum circuit visualization principles for supporting future clinical adoption and interpretation of quantum computing applications in clinical routine.

Pros: The most significant pro is the impactful, cutting-edge research we do in quantum computing. As a Senior Group Leader, I had significant autonomy and the work flexibility was outstanding, which really helps balance a demanding research career. The team members are incredibly bright and collaborative, fostering an environment where learning and innovation thrive. It's a unique opportunity within the deep tech research industry, even for a smaller location like Kinder, LA.
Cons: While the research is fascinating, the internal project approval processes can sometimes feel a bit slow and bureaucratic, which occasionally impacts project timelines. Also, as with most advanced scientific research, the workload can be quite intense during critical deadlines or funding cycles. While compensation is fair for the quantum computing sector, it might not always match what's offered by larger tech giants in bigger cities.
Advice to Management: To management, I'd suggest continuing to champion work flexibility and autonomy, as it's a huge draw for senior research talent. Streamlining administrative and project approval workflows would significantly improve efficiency and reduce friction, allowing research teams to focus more on
