Pros: For a junior software engineer, the hybrid work arrangement is pretty decent. We do 3 days in the Austin, TX office, which is manageable. It's nice not to be fully onsite.
Cons: True remote work isn't an option for most software development roles, which kinda stinks. Sometimes WFH days still feel like you're expected to be 'on' all the time, even though you're not in the corporate office.
Advice to Management: Consider more flexible options for experienced software engineering roles. Empower teams to decide their own WFH schedules instead of a blanket policy for the Austin office.
