Cons: Sometimes, during crunch times, the workload for software development projects could feel a bit overwhelming, which impacted work-life balance momentarily. Also, the approval process for new tools or technologies could occasionally be slow, which sometimes hindered project velocity. More streamlined internal communication regarding long-term project roadmaps would also be beneficial for the engineering team to align better.
Advice to Management: I'd suggest management look into refining project planning to better distribute workload during peak periods and consider streamlining the procurement process for new software development tools. Clearer long-term roadmap communication would also help.
