Solid experience at a growing UK fintech firm
Pros: The team is collaborative and the work itself, focusing on digital onboarding and verification for law firms, is genuinely interesting and impactful. I appreciated the autonomy I had in my role and the opportunities to learn new skills within the fast-paced SaaS industry. The hybrid working model is also a big plus.
Cons: While there's a lot of enthusiasm, project management could sometimes feel a bit ad-hoc, leading to occasional scope creep or shifting priorities which can be a challenge. Communication breakdowns, though rare, do happen between departments.
Advice to Management: Continue to formalize project management processes and ensure clear, consistent cross-departmental communication to better navigate growth challenges.

Pros: As a Senior Product Designer at Thirdfort in London, I've really appreciated the focus on user-centered design within the RegTech industry. Cons: While overall positive, the fast-paced nature of a growing FinTech company sometimes means project timelines can be quite tight, leading to heavier workloads during peak periods. The approval processes can occasionally feel a bit drawn out, which impacts velocity for product design iterations. It's not a major issue, but something that could be streamlined for a smoother workflow in the future.
Advice to Management: Continue to invest in process optimization to help manage workloads during intense project phases and ensure faster decision-making for product iterations.
