Pros: I appreciate the hybrid work option, giving us a couple WFH days. It's nice to avoid the Austin traffic sometimes. For backend developers, it helps to focus on coding without constant interruptions.
Cons: The 'flexibility' is mostly about choosing office days, not so much about actual adjusted hours. During crunch times with agile sprints, the expectations can be pretty rigid. It's tough if you need to be fully remote.
Advice to Management: Consider allowing more true flexibility, not just set WFH days. Trust your engineering teams more, especially on big projects. Give us more say in our schedules.
