Pros: The best part of working for Brown County is the job security and the direct impact on the Green Bay community. We have a decent benefits package and consistent work. There's also a good amount of flexibility with hybrid work options for many roles now, which has been a welcome change. The people I work with are generally dedicated and friendly.
Cons: Advancement opportunities can be limited and seem to depend heavily on department structure rather than performance. Sometimes decision-making feels slow due to the nature of county government. Communication from leadership could be more consistent and transparent regarding broader strategic changes.
