Pros: You can usually get flexible start times, which is nice. There are definitely remote work options for most of us, especially if you're not in a client-facing role at the Dallas, TX office. It's pretty chill when things are calm.
Cons: The biggest con is the on-call schedule for urgent IT security incidents. It can really mess with your personal life. It's tough to consistently hit a 40-hour week when you're dealing with a breach or major threat detection event.
Advice to Management: Try to lighten the load on on-call rotations. Maybe add more staff to spread out the incident response duties. It would really help with burnout for the Cybersecurity Analyst team.
