As a nonprofit organization, we’ve been growing since the early 2000s when our first program, Reading Corps, launched in 2003. Math Corps followed in 2008 and since then we’ve grown to offer programs nationally.
Today, we offer evidence-based AmeriCorps programs in two focus areas: education and healthy futures. We’re leaders and innovators in national service and employ 200 employees across the country. Together, we support more than 2,000 AmeriCorps members as they serve their communities and make an incredible collective impact.

Pros: The company culture at Ampact is genuinely positive. Everyone's really focused on teamwork and collaboration, which makes our energy efficiency projects run smoothly. There's a strong sense of purpose in the sustainability industry here, and I always feel supported by my colleagues. They encourage learning and professional development within our roles.
Cons: Sometimes the workload for a Program Coordinator can get intense, especially during peak program launch cycles or reporting periods. Also, I've noticed that the approval processes for some internal initiatives could be a bit quicker to improve overall efficiency. It's not a major issue, but something to note.
Advice to Management: Continue fostering the excellent company culture and open communication channels. Perhaps look into streamlining some internal approval workflows to empower teams further. Investing in more cross-training opportunities would also be beneficial for career growth in this dynamic energy industry.

Pros: I really appreciated the flexibility Ampact offers, which was crucial for managing personal commitments. The company culture promotes teamwork, and I always felt supported by my colleagues and immediate supervisors. There are opportunities to learn new technologies and work on diverse projects, which helps in building a well-rounded skill set. It's a stable environment in the competitive tech services industry.
Cons: While flexibility is great, project management can sometimes be a challenge, leading to occasional overloads during peak times. Sometimes, getting quick approvals for certain initiatives can be a bit slow. Career progression could be more clearly defined for individual contributors; it's not always obvious what the next step looks like or how to get there beyond performing well.
Advice to Management: Consider implementing more structured mentorship programs and clearer performance metrics for advancement within technical tracks. Streamlining approval processes for tools or small projects could also boost efficiency.
