Pros: The team I worked with at Zingtree was fantastic, very collaborative and always willing to help each other out. I learned a lot about building scalable web applications and had good autonomy in my projects. Management was generally supportive of ideas, and the remote work setup was a big plus for work-life balance.
Cons: There were times, particularly leading up to product releases, when the workload felt quite heavy and crunch time was more frequent than ideal. Communication between some departments could also be more streamlined to avoid minor delays in project approvals or cross-functional tasks. Job security feels moderate given the market.
Advice to Management: Focus on improving inter-departmental communication and workflow efficiency, especially during peak development cycles, to better manage workload and prevent burnout. Consider clearer pathways for advancement for engineers.
