Pros: The job security is definitely a strong point here. I felt confident in my role throughout my tenure. The IT department fosters good camaraderie, and there are interesting technical challenges to tackle, especially concerning healthcare data compliance. We had some flexibility with remote work options, which was appreciated.
Cons: However, project management and workflow could sometimes feel chaotic. There were periods of understaffing which increased the workload for existing team members. Communication between departments wasn't always seamless, leading to some inefficiencies in implementing new tech solutions.
Advice to Management: Consider investing more in cross-departmental training and streamlining project intake processes to improve overall efficiency and reduce burnout.
