Great Flexibility for a Service Coordinator Role
Pros: The biggest pro for me as a Service Coordinator has been the work flexibility. Management really trusts us to manage our schedules and get the job done, which is a huge plus for maintaining a good work-life balance. I appreciate the ability to adapt my day as needed, especially in the busy commercial electronics field. The team in Columbia, MO is also fantastic, always ready to help out and collaborate on solutions. There's a strong sense of camaraderie and mutual respect among colleagues,
Cons: While generally supportive, sometimes the approval processes for certain client requests can feel a bit slow, especially when we're trying to move quickly. This can occasionally lead to minor delays for our field technicians. Also, career growth opportunities for a Service Coordinator aren't always explicitly clear, though there are chances to take on more responsibilities if you seek them out. It's a minor point, but more defined pathways would be beneficial within this industry.
Advice to Management: Continue to foster the excellent work flexibility that makes Tech Electronics a great place to be. It truly contributes to employee satisfaction and retention. Consider reviewing and streamlining some of the internal approval workflows to enhance efficiency, especially for urgent client needs.

Solid Tech Company with Room for Improvement
Pros: The best part was definitely the people. My immediate team was supportive and made coming to work enjoyable. We had good autonomy on our projects, and the company provided decent resources for hardware development. It felt like a stable employer in the Kansas City tech scene.
Cons: Communication between departments, especially R&D and manufacturing, could be better. This sometimes led to delays or rework. Also, while pay was competitive, benefits could have been more comprehensive, especially around health and wellness programs.
Advice to Management: Focus on improving inter-departmental communication and streamlining workflows to boost efficiency. Enhancing the benefits package could also boost morale and retention for your valuable engineering talent.
