Solid tech role with room for improvement
Pros: The team at Motion is fantastic. I've learned a lot working on various SaaS products and enjoy the problem-solving aspects of my role as a Senior Software Engineer. The hybrid work arrangement is a big plus, allowing for a good balance between remote productivity and in-office collaboration. Management is generally supportive, and there are opportunities to contribute to impactful projects.
Cons: While career growth is decent, more structured mentorship programs would be beneficial. Sometimes, project timelines feel a bit ambitious, leading to occasional crunch times. Communication could also be more consistent across different departments to ensure everyone's on the same page.
Advice to Management: Consider investing more in formal training and mentorship for junior engineers. Clearer cross-departmental communication would also boost overall team alignment and project success.
