Good Project Experience, Intense Pace
Pros: The best part of working at KEATING is the exposure to diverse construction projects. I've learned a ton in a short amount of time, and the practical, hands-on experience is invaluable for career growth in the engineering field. The team environment is also very collaborative; people are usually willing to help each other out, which makes tackling tough deadlines more manageable.
Cons: While the learning curve is steep and rewarding, the work-life balance can be tough. Long hours are pretty common, especially when projects are nearing completion. Sometimes it feels like there's not enough staff to go around, leading to increased workloads for the current team. This can be draining over time and makes it hard to switch off.
Advice to Management: Consider resource allocation more carefully during peak project phases. Better staffing or clearer delegation could significantly improve team morale and work-life balance without sacrificing project quality.
