As a Project Coordinator, I got to see projects from planning through to completion, which was incredibly educational for someone starting in the real estate development industry. My colleagues were supportive and the management, while busy, was generally accessible and willing to share knowledge. The company offers stability, which is a plus.
Cons: The main drawback was the pace of internal communication sometimes, which could lead to minor delays. Also, while there's opportunity to learn, formal career progression paths aren't always clearly defined, meaning you often have to proactively seek out new responsibilities. The compensation package could also be more competitive compared to other firms in the wider region, especially for more senior roles.
Advice to Management: Consider clearer career ladder frameworks and more frequent formal check-ins to discuss individual development plans. Streamlining internal communication could also boost efficiency.
