Company Overviews

Flexjet first entered the fractional jet ownership market in 1995. Flexjet offers fractional jet ownership and leasing. Flexjet’s fractional aircraft program is the first in the world to be recognized as achieving the Air Charter Safety Foundation’s Industry Audit Standard, is the first and only company to be honored with 21 FAA Diamond Awards for Excellence, upholds an ARG/US Platinum Safety Rating and is IS-BAO compliant at Level 2.

Flexjet’s fractional program fields an exclusive array of business aircraft—some of the youngest in the fractional jet industry, with an average age of approximately six years.

In 2015, Flexjet introduced Red Label by Flexjet, which features the youngest fleet in the industry, flight crews dedicated to a single aircraft and the LXi Cabin Collection of interiors. To date there are more than 40 different interior designs across its fleet, which includes the Embraer Phenom 300, Challenger 350, the Embraer Legacy 450 and Praetor 500, Global Express, the Gulfstream G450, G500, G650 and G700, and the Aerion AS2 supersonic business jets.

Flexjet is a member of the Directional Aviation family of companies. For more details on innovative programs and flexible offerings, visit www.flexjet.com or follow us on Twitter @Flexjet and on Instagram @FlexjetLLC.

Good opportunities in private aviation
Pros: The team environment is generally supportive, and there's a real sense of camaraderie among colleagues. Working on a diverse fleet of business jets means you're always learning. The company provides good initial training, and there are chances to gain specialized certifications which really help career growth.
Cons: While there are growth opportunities, internal promotion processes can sometimes feel a bit opaque. The workload can be demanding, especially during peak seasons, which occasionally impacts work-life balance. Communication about broader company strategy could sometimes be more consistent across all departments.
Advice to Management: Continue investing in advanced technician training and create clearer pathways for career progression within the UK operations. More frequent all-hands updates would be beneficial.

Stable and Secure Role in Private Aviation
Pros: This company, operating in the fractional jet ownership sector, offers a good level of job security, especially for skilled roles like mine. The Cleveland operations are well-established. I appreciate the teamwork and the opportunities to keep my skills sharp on a variety of aircraft. It's a reliable place to build a career.
Cons: Workload can become intense during peak travel seasons, occasionally stretching resources thin. While day-to-day operations are solid, internal communication on larger project timelines could sometimes be more streamlined. This is typical for a busy MRO environment though.
Advice to Management: Continue focusing on robust operational stability and clear communication channels, especially regarding resource allocation during busy periods. Investing in cross-training could further enhance team flexibility and job satisfaction for technicians.

Solid Private Aviation Employer, Great Team
Pros: I really appreciated the collaborative environment among the Client Services team. Everyone's supportive, which makes a big difference in the private aviation sector. There were also excellent opportunities for professional development within the role, helping me build specific industry knowledge. Management generally fosters a positive work environment, promoting teamwork and learning for a Client Services Associate.
Cons: While the company is a leader in fractional jet ownership, job security can sometimes feel tied to market fluctuations, which is common in the aviation industry. Internal communication processes could be streamlined to ensure everyone is on the same page, especially during peak operational periods.
Advice to Management: Continue investing in career pathing and internal communication tools to provide more clarity for employees regarding growth opportunities and long-term stability within the private aviation industry. This would further enhance employee engagement and retention.
