Pros: I really appreciated the consistent 40-hour work weeks; rarely had to put in overtime. For a Benefits Administrator role in the federal benefits industry, that's a huge plus. The hybrid work model based out of the Portsmouth, NH office also helped a lot with managing my personal life.
Cons: Sometimes, during peak enrollment periods, things could get a bit hectic, which impacted work-life balance for a short while. There isn't much flexibility outside of the standard hybrid model if you need it. Growth opportunities felt a little limited.
Advice to Management: Try to staff better for those high-volume periods to prevent burnout. More options for flexible work beyond the current hybrid model would be great for employee retention.

Pros: I liked the option for hybrid work, especially for my Customer Service Specialist role. Being able to work remote a few days a week from the Portsmouth, NH area helped a lot with errands and appointments. It's a decent perk for the industry.
Cons: The 'flexibility' often felt limited though. Sometimes, getting approval for extra remote days was tough, even for federal benefits administration tasks. It wasn't full WFH and felt a bit strict about specific onsite days.
Advice to Management: Management should trust employees more with their schedules. Real work flexibility could really boost morale, especially for those in customer-facing roles. Make the hybrid model truly flexible, not just a set schedule.
