Pros: I've found the team at Active Surfaces to be very collaborative and supportive. There are genuine opportunities to learn new aspects of digital marketing and product promotion within the outdoor living sector. The remote work setup provides a good deal of flexibility, which is a major plus for my personal schedule and contributes positively to my work-life balance. Management is generally approachable.
Cons: While the immediate team is great, broader company leadership could be more transparent with strategic decisions and future direction. Sometimes, project approvals can feel a bit slow, impacting turnaround times during busy periods. There's a sense that career progression pathways could be more clearly defined for individual contributors.
Advice to Management: Focus on improving communication flow from senior leadership down to individual contributors, especially regarding company strategy and individual development plans. Streamlining approval processes where possible would also be beneficial.
