Lorna Jane | Empowering Women Through Active Living

For over 37 years, Lorna Jane has been devoted to supporting and empowering women through movement, community and purpose.

Founded by Lorna Jane Clarkson with a single pair of hand-stitched leggings, the brand has grown into a global Active Living community - with women at the centre of everything we do.

Today, women represent 98% of our workforce, across both our team and leadership. Our flexible way of working is designed to support women through the different stages of life, reflecting the community we serve.

Our commitment to women extends beyond our product.

From the talented women who manufacture our garments, to our partnership with Women’s Community Shelters supporting women and children experiencing homelessness and family violence, and our sponsorship of parkrun connecting communities across the country - we continue to invest in women at every level of our ecosystem.

Through the Never Give Up podcast, Lorna Jane Clarkson also donates to each guest’s chosen women’s charity, further extending our commitment to supporting women and their communities.

Great Flexibility in a Fun Activewear Retail Environment
Pros: I really value the work flexibility here, which is key for managing my personal commitments. The team at our Montagu Bay store is super supportive, making the retail environment enjoyable. There are opportunities to learn about visual merchandising and customer service in the activewear industry.
Cons: Sometimes, during busy sales periods, the workload can feel quite intense for a Retail Team Member. Communication from higher management could be a bit clearer on upcoming promotions. Also, career progression for in-store staff feels a little slow at times.
Advice to Management: Continue to foster the positive team culture and explore more structured paths for career growth for in-store retail team members. Enhanced communication about company-wide initiatives would also be beneficial for all staff.
