Pros: The projects I worked on were genuinely engaging and contributed to critical functions, which was fulfilling. Collaboration within my immediate team was excellent; we really supported each other. It's a good place to gain experience in enterprise software development, especially within the government contracting space near Fort Drum.
Cons: Career progression can feel a bit opaque. It's not always clear what steps are needed to move up, and opportunities for specialized training seemed limited. Sometimes, top-down decisions could feel disconnected from the actual engineering realities, causing minor frustrations.
Advice to Management: Consider implementing more structured mentorship programs and clearer roadmaps for technical career advancement. Regular feedback sessions on skill development would also be highly beneficial for employee retention and growth.
