About The Role
We are collaborating with an exciting Newcastle-based technology company that is seeking a Full Stack .NET Developer to join its expanding engineering team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on a modern, cloud-based platform utilized by thousands of customers. As part of a small, collaborative team, you will have the chance to make a tangible impact from day one, working closely with an experienced Technical Lead to shape the future of the platform. The position is based in Newcastle upon Tyne with a hybrid working model requiring attendance in the office approximately two days per week, providing flexibility to balance work and personal life. This is an excellent opportunity for a developer who is passionate about building scalable, innovative solutions and eager to contribute to a product that makes a real difference in its users’ lives.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in software development, with experience in the following areas:
- Commercial experience with C# and .NET framework
- Proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks, particularly React
- Experience in API development and integration
- Knowledge of database-driven applications, preferably with MongoDB
- Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS
- Familiarity with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes
- Experience working with high-volume data processing systems
- Proficiency with version control systems, particularly Git
- Adherence to modern development practices and agile methodologies
While experience with AWS, Kubernetes, or high-volume data platforms is advantageous, it is not essential. Equally important is a positive attitude, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for writing clean, maintainable code.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of tasks across the entire software development lifecycle, including:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining new features for the company's cloud-based platform
- Enhancing and optimizing existing platform functionalities
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define technical specifications and solutions
- Developing and consuming REST APIs to facilitate seamless integrations
- Implementing scalable backend solutions using C# and .NET technologies
- Building engaging, responsive frontend features with React
- Managing cloud infrastructure and deployment processes on AWS
- Participating in code reviews, testing, and continuous integration practices
- Contributing to ongoing platform improvements, including high-volume data processing and system performance enhancements
- Maintaining clear documentation and adhering to best practices in software development
