Pros: As an Administrator at Compass, a multinational contract services firm, I've really valued the work flexibility. It's a huge plus to be able to manage my schedule, which helps a lot with my personal life in London. The team in Tower Hamlets is super supportive; we're in the food service and facilities management industry, so things can be fast-paced, but everyone works together. There are decent opportunities to learn new administrative skills, and for a large corporation, there's a good sense
Cons: While there's good support, the approval processes can sometimes feel a bit slow or bureaucratic, which is probably typical for a large company like this. Also, during peak times in the food service sector, the workload for an Administrator can ramp up quite a bit, making that flexibility a bit harder to utilize. I'd also say career progression for administrative roles could be a bit clearer; sometimes it feels like you have to really seek out opportunities rather than them being readily
Advice to Management: Focus on streamlining some of the internal approval processes to increase efficiency. Also, providing clearer pathways and resources for career progression for administrative staff would be beneficial, perhaps through mentorship programs or internal training for new roles.

Pros: The team I work with is fantastic, always supportive and willing to help out. There's a good sense of camaraderie. The company offers decent benefits, and the hybrid work model is great for managing personal commitments. My role as an Operations Coordinator in corporate services has clear responsibilities.
Cons: Sometimes communication from higher leadership can be a bit slow or unclear, which can cause minor delays. Pay progression could be a little more transparent. There are occasional periods where workload can become quite intense, impacting work-life balance.
Advice to Management: Consider more frequent, clear updates from senior leadership regarding strategic changes. Recognizing team achievements more publicly could also boost morale.
