Pros: The health insurance is solid, which helps a lot. They've got a good 401k match, which I appreciate. As a Junior Software Engineer, I got decent PTO for a mid-sized tech company.
Cons: Base salary for software development roles isn't super competitive here in the Austin, TX office. Don't expect much in terms of stock options or big performance bonuses. It's tough when you know other fintech companies pay more.
Advice to Management: You really need to look at what other fintech companies in Austin are paying for software engineers, especially for junior and mid-level roles. A more competitive base salary and better stock options would make a huge difference in retaining talent.
