Pros: I like that some hybrid work is an option, especially for planning tasks. My team lead for our infrastructure projects is pretty understanding if something pops up last minute. It's not totally rigid.
Cons: Work flexibility here could be better. As a Civil Engineer, you still have to be onsite a lot for project needs. Don't expect to be fully remote from Houston, TX; the 40-hour weeks can easily turn into more when deadlines hit.
Advice to Management: Consider more truly flexible remote options for engineering roles where onsite isn't absolutely critical. Trust your employees more.
